EMPACK Gorinchem 2026 – Impulses for the Future of the Packaging Industry
From April 14 to 16, EMPACK in Gorinchem, Netherlands opened its doors in bright spring weather—once again confirming its reputation as a must-attend event for the packaging industry.
Representing Cartonplast on site: Andre Haselhoff, Jan van der Vlist, Patrycja Stefanowska, and Sarah Rollinger.
What remains after three intensive days at the trade fair?
Dialogue on equal footing – and personal connections
We were especially pleased to meet many of our existing customers in person while also establishing new contacts. The open, collaborative dialogue—particularly during the strong second day of the fair—highlighted how essential direct exchange is for joint development and progress.
Pooling as a clear solution for the future – with Cartonplast
Discussions clearly showed that pooling models are more than just a trend. They offer an economically and regulatorily attractive alternative to single-use packaging.
With our durable, hygienic reusable load carriers and established pooling concepts, we are already making a concrete contribution to a sustainable supply chain.
Digitalization meets practice
A key topic was the growing demand for transparency and efficiency.
Our solutions for digital inventory tracking, traceability, and process reliability—such as RFID integration in pallets and load carriers—generated strong interest and underline the need for smart, data-driven systems.
Innovations in the reusable world
Beyond industrial applications, the exhibition also showcased exciting approaches:
- Reusable cups and trays in catering as a lived example of sustainability
- Reusable pallet wraps as a return solution
- Clean and user-friendly deposit systems
Conclusion:
EMPACK 2026 clearly demonstrated that the industry is moving toward sustainable, digitally connected reusable systems. Cartonplast is not just part of this development—we are actively shaping it.
We would like to thank all customers, partners, and new contacts for the inspiring conversations and look forward to the next steps together.
